To me, we must learn to spell the word RESPECT. We must respect the rights and properties of our fellowman. And then learn to play the game of life, as well as the game of athletics, according to the rules of society. If you can take that and put it into practice in the community in which you live, then, to me you have won the greatest championship.

I agree with the quote because people do play by the rules when they're playing a game or a certain activity but when real life goes on people tend to ignore some or all the rules of life and just break them and that's how many people suffer the consequences that the government has to offer. I think that people should pay attention to the laws just as they pay attention to rules of games that they play. If you think about it life is like a game, you may not like the challenges that come your way but you have to play it the best way you can and in my mind everyone is a winner. The only way you may lose is if you die and that's reality not a joke. I think that if you respect others then you will get respect in return and that's how life rolls.

i think that this is trying to say that you have to have respect. and it is like a game in a sport you have to practice for it. also there are certain rules you must follow. also that you are able to handle all these things and you are able to follow the rules. you have done what you needed to do and its like winning the best thing in a sport.

I agree with Jesse Owens because people have to learn to respect people and their stuff. You also have to follow the rules of what you can do or not in society. If you don't follow them something might happen to you. And if you do that in your community you will have the greatest championship to Jesse Owens because he wants you to do that and it is true because you will know how to act good.

i think that respect is a bigf aspect in things we do. we have to respect the rules we create for ourselvees to follow which will then show how important it is to grow and change with the respect fo following your own ruelse. if you follow the rules the right way you can become anything an if you cheat your way out yeah no one will know but your cheating yourself disrespecting your self in the long run.so i believe its important tom follow the rulese and repsect yourself so things can come out the right way and you can practice these rules in the society of today.

MANY RULES IN GAMES ABD SPORTS HAVE TO BE FOLLOWED. BUT THE RULES IN LIFE CAN BE BROKEN BECAUSE IT IS EASIER. IN THE GAME OF LIFE,THE GAME IS BIGGER THEREFORE THE RULES AREE EASIER TO BREAK. SO IN LIFEW THE GAMES ARE EASIER TO BREAK THAN TO FOLLOW. BUT IF YOU FOLLOW THE RULES IN LIFE, YOU MOST LIKELY WILL SUCCEED TO THE GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT. THAT IS WHAT I THINK THIS OLYMPIS CHAMPOIN IS SAYING.

THE GAME IS JUST STAYING ALIVE LIVING LIFE AS YOU WANT BUT CANTY LIVE IT IF YOU DIE THEREFORE TRY TO STAY ALIVE. I agree with this quote because when people tend to respect people they know. But when they interact with strangers they act disrespectful. Not even knowing that they arent much different. People tend to play by the rules when it comes to just playing a friendly little game. Then it comes to life certain people try to brake some rules they don't agree with. They try to get past things they are not supposed to. I think that life is like a game because we have rules in games and in life. In games you are watched closely to see if you do anything wrong. BUt in life there wont be people watching you closely taking you step by step telling you what to do or what not to do and when you are do something wrong. sao people tend to disobey the law just because theya ren't being watched as closely. THey think that they can do whatever they want. Ths is what i think this quote means.

I AGREE WITH THIS QUOTE BECAUSE IT IS LIKE WE'RE PLAYING A GAME AND RESPECT IS APART OF IT. ITS CALLED THE GAME OF LIFE. I GUESS HE SAID IF WE RESPECTED THE RULES AS WE DO IN GAMES BECAUSE YOU WILL BE A OVERALL BETTER PERSON AND HAVE GREAT RESPECT.SOME OF THE RULES HAPPEN TO BE THE LAW AND IF YOU BREAK THEM YOU WILL SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES LIKE GOING TO JAIL. IN SPORTS YOU ALSO SUFFOR CONSEQUENCES BUT IN SPORTS YOU TRY NOT TO BREAK THE RULES BECAUSE SOMEONE IS WATCHING YOU BUT IN LIFE YOU DON'T CARE. IN GAMES IF YOU PLAY BY THE RULES AND WIN YOU MAKE IT TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP AND IN A WAY THE SAME GOES FOR IN LIFE.

I agree with this quote. In order for us to be able to have or get or know respect is to be able to define it. Knowing a word without knowing what it means is useless. So yea i do agree with this quote. People say they have respect but they dont even know what the word respect means. So it is important to know what words means. Then why use theword or be the word. So this quote is very significant because it points out knowing what word is or means. Well to my understanding of the quote.

Well I think that you should learn how to spell respect but the most important is to learn the meaning of respect. Before aspect was like the most meaning full world and now that lost the meaning. The world will be better if the people will have more respect for there lives, family, things, and themselves. Well i think this is what the quote is trying to say.

I think that this quote is true because when it comes to playing games like video games or playing sports games people play by the rules because they dont want to lose. But when it come to really life people dont care if they break the rule or not because they dont get caught a lot so when they. So i think that we should respect the game of life and live by the rules.

I agree with this quote because we should have respect for everyone and we have to give respect to get it. I believe that we can play the game of life and the game of athletic but by doing that there is a certain respect that we have to reach in order to make this not only community but this world a better place. What he means by winning the greatest championship that is symbolic for i think winning the world because if we can conquer this then we can conquer anything. Some people think its hard to get respect but if your not putting your best foot forward then your never going to get respect as much if you want it and that is just the facts of life you can't get something for nothing if you don't put in any effort.

respect is a major part of life and you are taught and hear about ever since you are born.when in life respect is something that every one wants but is kind of hard to get. respect is some thing that is kind of a hard concept to grasp. when is it okay to give someone respect. how do you get respect. how does someone lose your repect .how do you lose your respect. how can you actual tell who doesnt have your respect. honestly respect is just hard to describe in one word it is a concept that is just never ending.

This quote is very true because respect is very important in today's society. But a lot of people have forgotten about it. Gangsters have forgotten about respect because they go around everywhere, cussing, hitting up, stealing, and worst of all, killing each other. But if everyone knew respect we'd be able to solve our problems in different ways like talking them out rather than using violence like many do today. If we knew respect our schools would also be a lot cleaner because students wouldn't litter up their wn school or tag it up.

I think this means that in order to do anything you have to actually really learn what you are doing and have the most respect. To me respect is a really strong word because it means a lot. and if you really think about it you cnat do anything the right way without having the up-most respect for people.

I agree with jesse owens here. This community does lack respect for eachother and eachothers property. Almost everywhere you look you see graffiti or look on the back of peoples cars it someties says "wash me", all that examples of disrespect for other peoples property. Alot of people cheat and break rules in games, but even more make the mistake of braking the rules and taking short cuts in life, to try to avoid the challenges that they must face as a growing independent human being, the worse kind of loser is a loser that cheated.

Ok so its saying you gotta give respect to get it, and if you practice that the world would be a better place. Because there will be reduced conflicts especially in the classrooms be cause in alot of classrooms you have kids that disrespect their teachers and its them but they claim their teacher disrespected them but the question is what did you do to make them act that way.

Respect is important..and has alway been. But nobody has as much respect for rules in real life as ppl have in games. In games ppl have respect for referees and their rules...but in real lie their are too many ppl for the referees,or cops, to keep an eye on the penalties of all the players, or citizens.

This is do true because when it comes to certain things people make sure they abide by the rules and regulations. but they break almost all of them when it comes to the game of "life". it just goes to show how much people take it serious they need to first have self respeect and respeect for everyone one else and maybe we can win the "championship".

i agree with the quote because people do play by the rules when they're playing a game or a certain activity but when real life goes on people tend to ignore some or all the rules of life and just break them and that's how many people suffer the consequences that the government has to offer. I think that people should pay attention to the laws just as they pay attention to rules of games that they play. If you think about it life is like a game, you may not like the challenges that come your way but you have to play it the best way you can and in my mind everyone is a winner.

To me, we must learn to spell the word RESPECT. We must respect the rights and properties of our fellowman. And then learn to play the game of life, as well as the game of athletics, according to the rules of society. If you can take that and put it into practice in the community in which you live, then, to me you have won the greatest championship.

Whats it is trying to say is that we must learn how to respect everybody's property throughout our community. If you try to respect property then you will feel good about yourself.

I think that this is true because if we all respected each other than we would all get along. Also that the game of life can be played better with the respect that we need to have for each other. I agree with this quote because you cant play a game or go through life without respect and play nicely and treat everyone around us with respect.

This quote is true because to be respectful, you must know what respect means. Respect means having manners and being a nice person. You don't offend others and you keep your profanity low. You respect others by being courteous to people and eventually you'll gain their respect. You earn respect and that respect will help get through life. With respect you can gain a lot of help from other people. We should all respect but our world is not perrfect. We are full of people that are disrespectful but sooner or later they'll realize the truth of what respect means. You need respect to get through life and if you aren't respectful, you are not going to get through life.

this quote is trying to say that in life you need to know the word respect and how to use it, must of us people don't have respect in the society, like there are people who deserve our respect because of the things that they have given to us. if you play a game you got to know the rules and respect them, that's how they tell that you need to know how to play it. I think that people should pay attention to the laws just as they pay attention to rules of games that they play and respect.

I guess that this quote is true because when there is that set line of discipline where you can get a "foul" or "red crad" then you decide to follow the rules because you know what is in stake of the athletic sport that you live for. But when it comes down to you community, for something that you live in, that you literally live for, you decide not to follow the rules or create that vibe of helping out tohers to help improve the place that you are in everyday, mainly all day. And then when that day comes, and we will have to follow the rules, if we didnt we will have tickets or whatever, then we wont like. We wont want to agree with it. And i think that that is a bit hypacritically because everyone knows that there needs to be a change, but no one does anything. And when the officials or politicians get involved, we wont want to agree or follow what guidelines are given to us. But one day, maybe some of us wuill want to take that change, to come back and help out others without having to be told. I mean we all have the power to win that "championship", but we just need to know how much determination we have the ability to excess, and how far we will take it.

I think the quote is saying that respect isnt done by self achievement. But the by the fact you are able to stay succesful and help the people who arent as fortunate as you. You know where u came from and are able to restore peac and quiet. You are the person that lifts people just by them being around them. They are the ones who u cant say anything bad about. They have you respect because they know what u went through or is going through. They are the ones who came outta the same hood as you and they came out on top

Respect is the most important thing in this society. We treat others the way we want to be treated. We have the ability to not respect someone for who they are but what we see and this is not a good thing.

Respect is accomplished when you learn how to do it or give it. Respect can come from anyone it doesnt matter where you come from. This quote has alot of meaning. Life is a game and every one wants to win everyone must win the right way it will be a big challege

i think this quote is true because
people are really rude and have no respect for each other and their property.people should learn to show respect for one another even if they dont like each other. i think that if this world was showed more respect than this world would be a better place. not only should you show respaect for each other but you should show respect of your community by picking up trash that you through on the floor or keeping it a safe place for the people of the community. you should show respect for your parents by obeying them when they tell you to do something or by not doing anything that makes them look bad.theres different ways you can show respect and people should do it more often.
