well i think this quote is right. I think that people are being ignorant because they think theyre smart.In the other hand a person that is smart is willing to be open minded and learn more.They dont act as if they already know everything because in reality they dont know everything. For example a person who is constantly judging another is not being open minded because they think they know a certain person when in reality they dont know anything.If you were really smart you would take time to get to know that person and not judge its book by its cover.I think that people are acting ignorant when they think they know whats going on in other peoples life,they should fix theirs then worry about someone else.I believe that people should just be open minded and not have negative thoughts about learning something new.

Uhhh, I dunno what this means... seriously, I have no clue. It's basically saying that smart people don't learn because they're already smart. They are too busy proving what they learn... Wait.... I'm confused. Ugh.
I disagree because yes smart people prove themselves but they also learn so they can improve their skills and knowledge. I think it may be the boastful smart people who don't learn much because they are mostly trying to prove their point and sometimes not listen to those who know more than them. To sum it all up, whether you're a boastful smart person or just smart eventually you'll have to learn something new because each year something new is created where you have to learn how to work it.

In my opinion there is no such thing as smart and dumb because Mr. Helenius made a convincing statement about being smart and dumb. He said there is no such thing as smart and dumb. Everyone has the same opportunity in learning but it all depends all on the person. If they do want to learn, they will learn if they are not lazy. If a person is lazy and doesn't care they probably won't learn. Learning may come easier to others so the other person who struggles to learn, has to just be more dedicated.
i think this quote is true because if there is a sma rt person who is non sholeont about there learning material and a person who is not not neccessaraly dumb but is open mindd to make new nueral connections the smart person wo uld act cocky as if they know the required material even if they stuck on somthing and the opened minded person will be willing to learn and the so called "smart" person is to cocky to be taught so they wont learn

No that is not true because smart people want to learn more to build up their intelligence to make them smarter even thoug they are smart. But sometimes they have to brag about it and think that they are better than everybody but there not. So Im just saying that smart people are just studying so they can build there vocabulary up and their intelligence up.

This quote means that "smart people" don't learn because they are to proud to admit they need to learn new things and don't admit when they make a mistake. They try to advoid being seen making a mistake and admit they don't know the subject. I don't agree with this quote because there aren't "smart" or "dumb" people. People who are called "smart" are called smart because they are willing to learn. They aren't afraid to make mistakes. That is why they considered or called "smart" because they make an effort to learn.

Well I think this quote is right because smart people do learn even. I think they still want to learn more because they want to go college and have a good career.Also smart people do prove themselves smart and they do learn in order to get information. I agree with the part smart people think they know everything and avoid being seen as not knowing because that is true. And i disagree with the part smart people dont learn now that is not true because nobody can not learn and still know everything becuase it order to know everything you need to learn things thats how you get information by learning.
Well I don’t think that this quote is necessarily true for 2 reasons. The first one is because everyone is smart in their own way. Some people are smart in certain subjects. Not everyone knows how to do everything in every subject. There is no smart or dumb. There is just people who try more than others and get things better than others. The words smart and dumb do not have any meaning. All that they are are labels that people put on others who don’t try as hard as the "smart" people. The second reason why I say this is because I know a lot of people who are "smart" and doing well in their classes but they don’t show it off. They don’t try to prove to everyone that they are smart. All they do is try their best and if people notice, they really don’t care. But there are some people like that. They are to busy trying to prove to people how smart they are that they don’t learn a lot. They are ignorant and all they want to do is prove to everyone that they are the best. Those are the people that I would call dumb.
I disagree because to be smart you have to have learned something in order to have passed all your test/and Quizes. i can garenty you that if you can't pass you test and guizes than your grdes will probably DROP, which means your not"smart".So you must have good grades to be considered "smart".

well i think that this quote is right. My opinion is that there is no such thing as smart, or dumb because i think any one can be learn if they want to. Every time you learn something new or you have already knew your neural connections gets stronger ot you get a new one. Well I think that, that quote is a false statement. I think that, that quote is false because if a person is really smart they would be able to learn more to be able to get greater at what there great at. I think jthta smart people do learn because a smart person has to have more knowledge and the only way to get knowledge is by learning new things. Well,I think part of the quote is true because smart people do be focused on trying to prove what they already know,but they still learn becuz if they didn't learn, then they wouldn't know what they already know.They do avoid being seen as not knowing,but as they are trying to cover up what they don't know,they are learning it.But actually,there is no smart and dumb.Some people just don't catch on and understand stuff as fastas others.

That quoet means that the reason why "smart people don't learn" is because thye have already learned so much and has a repertation of being smart, they just don't want that rep. to be gone. They also feel that they already learned so much that they feel that they are ready for the real world. but we all know at the end, they are the ones who are unprepared.
I think this is true for some smart people. Because some smart people just try to prove what they know so they seem smart rather than trying to learn new things. So this is true for smart ignorant people.

Bassically this guy is saying that people who know one material well are too conceaded to try to learn anything else. I strongly disagree with this, because if somone is truely smart, they'll master a subject and try to move on onto something else, smart doesn't mean you undrdtand everything, it just means you think ahead, and are ready.

I do kind of believe this in a way beacause smart people don't really learn because they already know what they need to know. also because most of the time thge smart people are called "nerds" which i don't believe is a good term because that makes them be in shame. I disagree with this quote...1st there is no such thing as smart...2nd "smart" people learn AS MUCH AS THEY CAN why would they be trying to improve on they're knowledge because if they were'nt they wouldn't really be considered "smart".If this was the case they would stay on they're like a low level and just be really great at what they know. I believe this because alot of people I have meet over my life dont like to know new things, because it makes them seem not smart. I think this is dumb because smart people think they know everything and think they know the difference of good and bad and blah blah blah. When I read this quote, I could see that Chris is as ignorant as the quote. Some people do believe that they know everything and the truth is that they don't. They have there information all wrong and just because it sounds logical to them, they think that it has to be real. I really don't like ignorant people because they annoy me. They think they know everything and they are so sure of what they are saying is true. If you correct them, they act as if you are the stupid one and say that you are ignorant. If you were smart, you wouldn't not learn. You actually are willing to let ideas and other thoughts go into your head and decide for yourself if it is true or not.

Well I think this qoute just means that some people who are supposedly smart hide the truth. Even though there isn't such a thing as smart or stupid, I think it means that people don't want to be seen as something else. Some people who have an enhanced thought process may be good in school but ognorant to the outside world. With that, they try to hide the truth of what they reaally are which is ignorant. An actual defined smart person would be someone who knows what to do most of the time. An intelligent person is someone who is open-minded and understands the outside world. There is a difference between the two and that's why smart people try to hide the truth that they are not intelligent. In my opinion, i am a little of both but sometimes I may not understand some of the outside world. Smart people are afraid of showing the truth that are not what they seem to be. They keep everything inside and are never actually honest with themselves. They are desperate people that really try to hide the truth and smart people are one of them.

i agree with this quote because all smart and dumb is that they are labels and just words that are used to either compliment or make fun of people. Smart to me is just a person that tries hard to succeed and the other person that yoou would call dumb is also smart but they just dont try hard to succeed. Also noone knows everything people are constantly learning. Teachers and grownups still learn stuff from their own students. so know one is smart. thats not true because thats why they are called smart because they put into sum effort in to it.and they tryed there hardest at it.and they have to give as much effort as they could and order to succed at it.thats why vthey are aslo called smart because they learn what they need to know in order to get a passing grade at it.and they dont act like they know everything they just try it if they dont know how to do it.

Some people who they think that are smart saying things that dosen't have any sense they act like they are the smartest thing in the world and they dont.But in the other way the persons who are smart have good grades,they learn from his/her teachers,they always are trying to be someone in the future and thinking what is good for them always positive in the way they do the things and thats how they improve that to be smart is not only doing homework and saying "I'm smart now all the have to respect me". Is not all that, is being prepared when it comes to you the future.
