To be a leader, you have to make people want to follow you, and nobody wants to follow someone who doesn't know where he is going.

yes this is true because if you are led by someone who doesnt know where he/she is going you will probably end up somewhere bad. But if you are led by someone who does know where he/she is going you will end up somewhere good. for example if someone is leading you to raise money but doesnt know how you will probably loose money for buyingthings that are preparing you for something that you dont know how its going to end.and for someone that has everything planned out you will raise the money you need.
This means to me that you have to be a good leader in order to have followers. If you're a leader that knows what to do and where to go in life then that will attract more followers to you. If you have no clue what to do in life then no one will follow you and you may end up a follower yourself.
Well that is true, people want to follow a good leader someone who would take them to other heights and etc they want leader who knows what there doing and what they want a leader who knows where he/she is going you have to show courage and self determination .A leader is supposed to lead a gruop to whats best for them not jus for the leader.

I think this quote means if you want to be a leader and not a follower, you have to know where you're going. If you're a leader and don't know where you are going, you are just another follower trying to lead. If you know where you're going, and people like the way you're going, I think you're setting some kind of example, and you're going to make others want to be a leader also.

I agree to this because followers depend on leaders to guide them and if the leaders dont know where they are going, that just makes them followers. In the end the leader who doesnt know where they are going is just another follower. If you are a leader you have to know where you are taking your followers or else that makes you no different than the followers. A leader cant be shy because they wont be heard therfore they wont be able to lead which will make them a sorry leader. So in order to be a leader you must know where you are going and takink your followers to.
Of course nobody doesn't want to follow somebody who doesnt know where their going. But there are are pro's and cons to this situation. So to be a leader you need to know where your going in life, set goals and when your making a decision you need to think to yourself "if I do this am I setting an example for other people who looks up to me?" People always say don't be a follower but some people need to follow people to keep them out of trouble, and then again not neccessary follow them but at least have a role model. I think it's a good idea for every young adult now days to have a role model.
I agree with this comment because I was a follower at one point in time and i was following someone who didnt care about anything but hangin out. my grades started dropping my attitude became negative and offensive. but long story short I became a very bad. But now that i am at a new school i got away from those guys and now i can start over as a new person. an d this time i will try to be a leader instead of a follower. being a leader is very beneficial in many ways. it benefits the people around you(helping them and what not). and its also a really good feeling to know that you helped someone. so now whenever i see someone in need i will try my best to aid them. no matter if its giving a homeless person a few quaters or helping someone out with a math problem, i will try to help them
This means that in order to be a leader you have to have responsibility. People want to follow someone that has leadership and knows what they're doing. Not only that,you have to have something people will follow in order to be a leader. You could be a leader by just sticking up to what you believe in. Or be a leader by being in a group that has something in common with you. That something in common could be anything. It could be you like the same sports or like the same music. But the leader in that group is someone that knows what they are doing and shows respect to everyone else in that group.

I believ in myself and I know what I want in life.I want to be successful and I want too be recognized.I know in order for myslef to accomplish this I need to work really hardd which I amm.Im ging to pass high school with all A's B'S and below are not acceptable for me and if I do get any I will try really hard to raise it up.I will lead and i will not be put to wait on anyone.I am my self I have my own path and my own ways and if people want to follow they're welcome to but I WILL NOT FOLLOW ANYONE.I beleive in my ability to never give up and always try my best so I dont ever have to follow anyone.I dont want to ave to rely on anyone but myself.Do u think anyone but yourself will help you suceed?well no..no one will help you except yourself.I want to go to college then to a university then I want to work as hard as I can to be who I want to be,do what I want to do.I want to become somehting along the lines of a teacher ..english to be exact.I want to be a journalist or a newspaper staff one that writes articles..things of that matter.I will not be stoped and i will not rely on others to succeed.

Well I think that this quote means that in order to be a leader you must know what you are doing and where are you going. A leader must take responsibility for his own actions and they must be certain that they know what they are doing. Nobody wants there leader to be nervouse for his/her actions. People want there leader to be strong and independent. People who are followers are the people who are not certain about where they are going and what they want to do. The followers are the people who are nervouse about there actions and they cant stand up for what is right. A leader is the person who sets an example for others. Leaders who are not doing what they are supposed to do, and they are not sure of what they are doing, they are just followers who are trying to lead. I do agree with this quote because I know that I would'nt want a leader who is not sure of what they do. YOU HAVE TO BE A GOOD LEADER TO HAVE FOLLOWERS. I LOOK UP TO PEOPLE WHO ARE SMART INTELLIGENT AND KNOW RIGHT FROM WRONG. We'll if your a great person and is great at everything people will follow you... Young people follow someone who is doing great and that are coool... In order to be a leader you have to have good behavior, clean record, cool, and respect everything... Like me i want to be like a person who is great at skating gets all the shoes and gets all the girls... In some way i want be like brad pitt in da way he gets the girls, i want to be lyk paul rodriguez his shoes and skating skills and be like travis barkley beccause hes tight... But if they mess up getting caught doing something they arent suppose to do you wont be a leader no more.... Yeah that's right.A leader is someone that you can thrust.But you have to be careful that you don't follow someone that has no idea where they are going in life. Yes that is true because if your led by someone who doesn't know where their going you all will end up no where. People want to be led by someone who has their best interest at heart and will lead them down the right path. As a leader you should know what you are doing and if you don't then you and everyone else will be confused. If a so called leader doesn't know where their going then their not really a leader their just a follower trying to lead. A leader has a plan for everything that's going to happen. A leader should also has a backup plan in case something unexpected happens. If there is a leader that doesn't know what he/she is doing bad things can happen. For example, if a group is doing a project and the leader doesn't know what their doing they could mess up and the whole group will get a "F" for that assignment. Leaders are leaders for a reason and if they can't lead then they're defeating the whole purpose. Leaders are also suppose to be able to set examples for their followers so that means they can't get a bad grade in a class. Yes thats true because no one likes someone who makes them go wrong.A leader is someone who has power and control over people. Someone who has strenght and also brains. Someone who knows what the right answer is. A leader is someone who people follow because they make the right choices. Some would maybe make bad choices so then that person shouldn't be leader. Yes, that is true to become a leader you must show that u are one. In order to do that you must be able to show you are to accomplish many things. I believe this statement is true because if you are not an interesting leader then the followers won't be interested. You have to be organized and know what you are going to be doing the following day. If you know what you are doing then you will be a leader that has people following you because you know what the followers are looking for in a responsible leader. The experience you have had with other followers builds up your knowledge in what it takes to be a leader. Learning from your mistakes makes you stronger because you will know what to do and what not to do to succeed in your job. A leader has to help followers in any way, like for example take them somewhere where they can learn and have higher standards so that one day they will become a leader and remember you as their teacher.

If you are a leader maybe some of your followers may want to be leaders themselves. That way you can set a good example for them. So just remember it is better to be a leader than a follower.
My opinion is that this quote is a strong on because if you want to be a strong leader you need to know what you are doing, at a certain time, on a certain day. What I’m trying to tell you is that you need to be organize to be prepare for anything that might happen. This is true, because you have to try to always be in control of your life. If you're not in control of your life and you let people tell you what to do you'll never know all the oppurtunities life has for you as an individual. People sometimes may feel like they don't know how to become a leader. But if you take baby steps you'll add up to be a leader. Thats better than not trying at all and becoming nothing in your life. I think that people that may be followers should at least have self concious even though they dont have self esteem/self confidence because if the "leader" tells you to do something that you know isnt right you should not do it. I agree with this comment because I was a follower at one point in time and i was following someone who didnt care about anything but hangin out. my grades started dropping my attitude became negative and offensive. but long story short I became a very bad. But now that i am at a new school i got away from those guys and now i can start over as a new person. an d this time i will try to be a leader instead of a follower. being a leader is very beneficial in many ways. it benefits the people around youhelping them and what not. and its also a really good feeling to know that you helped someone. so now whenever i see someone in need i will try my best to aid them. no matter if its giving a homeless person a few quaters or helping someone out with a math problem, i will try to help them

Like if your president or something, you're gonna get recalled in a month because you have no idea what you are doing. Leaders must know where they are going because that gains more trust in them and their group. Leaders do not allow the group to start arguing to each other and decrease the sum in a group. If you're a leader you have to know where you are taking your followers or else that makes you no different than the followers.
In order to be a leader you need to work hard and be dependable.
You have to set a example for other so they can follow you.
Folloers are nobodys leaders are the ones that get all the fame and stuff like that. Why would you follow a follower it makes no sence i wouldnt even wanna follow a leader beacause im a leader. in order to be a leader you gotta know how o run stuff and yeah.
Being a leader sets a example to the group showing them that being a leader is what's best for them.

I agree with this comment because I was a follower at one point in time and i was following someone who didnt care about anything but hangin out. my grades started dropping my attitude became negative and offensive. but long story short I became a very bad. But now that i am at a new school i got away from those guys and now i can start over as a new person. an d this time i will try to be a leader instead of a follower. being a leader is very beneficial in many ways. it benefits the people around you(helping them and what not). and its also a really good feeling to know that you helped someone. so now whenever i see someone in need i will try my best to aid them. no matter if its giving a homeless person a few quaters or helping someone out with a math problem, i will try to help them

Yes you can only be a leader if people are following you. But why would people follow you if you dont even know where you are going. Also why would they follow you if you dont know what you are doing.In order to be a leader you have to have a gruop of followers. To have followers you have to have things in common with them or at least have fun or hang out with each other becaus why would anyone follow you if they dont even know anything about you. To be a leader you need to have respect for others and the ones who are following you. The most important thing to be a leader is that you need to have a plan or why would u be leading if you dont know where to go like the quote says. It is true because if you aren't a good leader nobody will follow you. If you don't know how to lead you should look at other leaders and look at how they get people to follow them. If your a bad leader you might lead your followers to bad disaster. When you have followers you need to set a good example.

Because if you are a person that has completely no idea what he/she is doing in life, or in a certain situation, then it shows that no one can really trust that person with the choice that he/she is about to do. So in other words, you decide to go on a road trip with some of your friends. And they agree to go along. Do you think that they will still agree to go with you if they find out that you have no idea how to get to a certain destination that you told them you guys were heading to. So that is basically what i am trying to explain. That in life, if you dont set any goals for you and you just want to sit back and say whatever happens, happens. I dont think that you will end up with many friends after, you'll provably still have some, but they're not going to be very interested in you. As far as, paying attention to what you have to say or to your ideas.

I agree with this statement. If you are a leader who doesn't know where he is leading than what type of a leader are you? In order to be a good leader you have to show people the right ways of either having fun or just in life. If you follow someone who is all about partying and stuff, where are you going to end up? You might still be in school, but your grades are going to look so pretty. Now let's say you follow someone who is the exact opposite, you mught be doing great in school, but then your life would be so boring and you ar still young at this age and it is the time that you are supposed to be enjoying yourself.
