I agree and disagree with this quote. I agree with this quote because you don't know what will come in the future so you have to let things flow and whatever happens--happens. However, I disagree with this quote because you can make plans for the future with the help of looking back on the past but that doesn't mean that what you plan will actually happen. I think the future is somewhat determined from events that happen in the past. I wouldn't say that you can never plan the future by the past because you can plans things but they might not come out in your favor or sometimes things do come out in your favor.

I think that you can and you can't because you can't plan the future because you don't know whats going to happen to you on the wasy. but yes because dipending on what you do you can kind off tell what your future will bw like. for example if you don't end up going to collage the you will know that in the future you will not gwt a good job.

i think this is true because no one can for see the future and knows what is going to happen so they cant plan anything. also u can rely on ur past because the things that you have done in the past is already a memory and might not really happen again so u dont have to make plans about ur futur with ur past.also even though you do have plans they probably are not gunna happen because faight has the tendancy to change them so just live life a d at a time.

I agree with this quote but then again i dont. One can not really plan what the future may be like but one can guess what may happen in the future. Sometimes one may guess wrong or sometimes they may guess right. Your past events may affect ones future but nobody can ever know what really may happen in the future. For example if one has plans to go out with their friends something might happen in that period of time that may change their plans and not allow them to go out with them anymore. Our future is sort of determined by our past events but nobody really knows for sure what the future holds for us or what may happen in the future.

In a way it's kind of true because the future is unexpected and crazy. But in another way the things you do in the past affects your future. Like if you do good at school you can get a good job in the future, opposed to not doing well at school. But things could happen in the future that can change your course of destiny. One day your walking to school then all of a sudden a car runs you over. You are paralyzed from the waist down. This is the curve or twist that changes your life.

i think that the future can never be planned out because theres always different outcomes .i think that you can plan depending on your past events but you should always be ready to know that what you planned can change. you can somewhat use your past events to come up with a possible solution but its never exactly what expected.so i dont think you can plan your future with past events the only thing you can do is approximate with past facts to make a POSSIBLE outcome.

you dont know what comes in the future, but the past already happened and what happened in the past is in the past. the future can always change and your past cannot change cause besically, it already happened. so i guess this is confusing... and KEWLLLLLL!

I think this is true becaus if you plAN TO study for a test you are planning for the future to past the test but if you plan for the

I like this quote because its the complete oppisite of History tends to repeat itself because i don't belive that's true... Never plan the future by the past because you lived the pasts and if you do the same agian in the future its like living your life in a pattern which sucks... Live life to the fullest try things you've never done... Plus if u do the past in da future probaly in the past you've had some problems and those problems tend to repeat demselves if you make it that way... This quote is true because you can't say what's going to happen based on just what's happened in the past. For example a person was angry in the past and you haven't seen them in a long time you might assume they still have a temper. But you may be surprised and when you see them again they're cool now and take jokes.

What Mr. Burke was saying was that you can never plan ahead if you are stuck in the past. I agree ( to a point) with this quote. You can not be stuck in the past if you are trying to go forward. You have to move forward towards the future. The point I don't agree with is that the past has nothing to do with the future. The truth is that the past has a very big part in the future. What happened in the past will end up affecting the future (good or bad).

I see what this quote is trying to say but i dont agree with it becuase you can plan the future by looking back at the past. Things that happen in the past like mistakes prepare you for the future, it provokes you not to make that same mistake in the future, so looking back in the past can prepare you for the future. For example when you take a test for the first time and fail it, you have an oppurtunity to re-take the test and do better next time becuase you know what you did wrong, and you wuill study harder to make sure you get it righht the next time. So i think thatr this quote is completely wrong.
I agree with this quote but then again i dont. One can not really plan what the future may be like but one can guess what may happen in the future. Sometimes one may guess wrong or sometimes they may guess right. Your past events may affect ones future but nobody can ever know what really may happen in the future. For example if one has plans to go out with their friends something might happen in that period of time that may change their plans and not allow them to go out with them anymore. Our future is sort of determined by our past events but nobody really knows for sure what the future holds for us or what may happen in the future.
I agree with this because whatever happens in the past, should stay in the there. That's why it's called the past, because it already passed, it already happend. Also, you never know what can happen in the future, so you can't really plan it.
i think thar this means if you want to start a new begining your going to have to forget aboutr the past and start with a clean new startt and a new slatee!

I don't think this statement is true because if something had happened to u in the past then u are prepared in the future or u are ready to face it. For example when u are taking the SAT and u do okay then, then u could plan in the future to do better by planning on studying so then u can do better.

this is true because whenever you plan something it will never come out how you expect it. If you want to do something someway it wont happen like that so if you were to plan your future on your past it will never be how your wanted it so you will never get what you want. Even though sometime history repeats itself there are times when it wont. For example with the sat test if your all prepared and you know your going to pass when you get your final score and you don't do as well as you had planned thats because you should never plan anything you do. Or another example is that if you know or think you are going to be a doctor or a lawyer when you are almost grown up you there is a chance that you will be what you wanted but their is also a chance you wont which is why you have to have a back up plan.

I think this quote is true because you need to plan your future and the past just pasted. I think you need to work in the present to succeed in the future. Like if you want to do good in the future you need to do well in the present so you wouldn't struggle in the future. You can not change the past because you can not go back and change things...
This is just saying that you can plan for the future but you can never plan the future because you may never know what will happen. I agree with this statement. Every day that is coming is not promised to anyone. You cant buy your future aand it doesnt matter how much you prepare for it. Life has its own plans and it changes them as it wants to. There isnt any fo sho in life and you always have to have that in mind. You have to prepare yourself in case you have a future and always look up to the idea that you will have one but you cant do a for sure plan. i dont know what does it means when it tell that you can do your future by the past. it think it does because wherever you do in your past is going to be in your future. You can always say what you want in your future but you never actually know what will happen.

i agree and disagree with this qote because although people do say that history repeats its self it changes in many ways. if try to stick to one plan, one fashion, one way of thinking than your going to miss out on alot because you will only have a one track mind.
