well what this quote is exactlty trying to say is that if everyone had a chance to do leave something or to have left a mark they would take it and that the failing and stuff to dont worry about its part of the procces of u shapeing up and either u cope with it and leave a mark ur u let its darks walls take u in and do nothing

I agree with this quote because basically Obama is describing how life works and informing people how you have to go through life. In my interpretation of the quote it is being said that you are born into this world then as you grow up you learn many things and there are also things that try to tear you apart but you choose whether to be strong and not let it bother you or not. I think that this quote is empowering because it lifts you up and makes you feel like you can do good in life but for those who are a little weak it can be advice for them.

i think that this is sayin wen u work hard 4 somethin, it wont be easy becuz there is a road with many obstacles ahead of u. failure will be on the road as well and u wont be able 2 avoid it but u cant let it stop u. u can either accept failure or think that u failed and that u wont be able 2 keep going on. if u accept failure it will be easier 2 move on with ur goal bcuz, u mite learn with that failure and it mite lead 2 the success of ur goal. but if u r ashamed that u failed it mite lead 2 another failure but this 1 is bigger its ur goal.

i think this is trying to say that it is not simple to be someone big in the world. because it takes time,dedication,and many more things it is not easy. and you cant just do it in one try you have to keep trying to succeed. and not give up and give it your hardest. even though you may fail a lot of times you must not give up. like when you work hard for something it wont be easy. it has many obstacles to get through and you need to work hard to succeed.
i say this is true because if you want to come out and make your mark in the world you have to go threw a lot and threw that you are going to fail many time but you need to learn from those mistakes and keep on approaching at it and probaably your guoing to fail more but keep on learning and move on untill youcome out with the finished product that gets you noticed in the world and makes a mark to everyone.

I agree with Obama because not everyone is famous or important. You have to work hard and be patient. Like most famous sports people they had to work hard to be what they are. An example is Abraham Lincoln. He had to be patient, work hard, and had lots of failure. But he became one of the most famous and one of the best presidents of the U.S. If he would've given up along the way the U.S. wouldn't be this way.

i think the most importannt thing is that everyone leaves their name in stonebut i believe its not. people try so hard to make an impression and stuff they dont realize whats really important but i believe leaving some ssort of impression counts. let the world see you were sumthing in liife and not just a regular somone ur more than just that.

I agree with this because what obama is trying to say that ho wlife is and how you can succeed.Or that everyone on this earth have all or try to make a mark on this earth but not everyone has succeeded. Either because they shame you into inaction or that you become a failure because you dont learn from the failures youve had.
Well this quote is very true because to leave your mark it takes alot to do before the mark is set. As the quote said it takes patience, commitment and it also takes your ability to a new level. You challenge yourself to have things that people will remember you by. If you ask yourself, "What if you weren't there the next day? Who would remember you?" If you ask yourself that, it makes you want to leave something for people to remember you by. To do that you must work hard and be committed to what you're about to do. To leave a mark, you must a leave a part of your life.
Making your mark on the world is hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. But it's not. It takes patience, it takes commitment, and it comes with plenty of failure along the way. The real test is not whether you avoid this failure, because you won't. it's whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction, or whether you learn from it; whether you choose to persevere.

well this quote is true because with any effort you would not reach what you want in your life, you always got to learn of your failure to know what did you did bad and good. there's no always easy paths for life, you gotta be patient to be someone in life and do whatever to make your hope and success.

agree with this quote because basically Obama is describing how life works and informing people how you have to go through life. In my interpretation of the quote it is being said that you are born into this world then as you grow up you learn many things and there are also things that try to tear you apart but you choose whether to be strong and not let it bother you or not.

this is true. it basically means in order to get what you want, you have to work hard. its not easy to accomplish a goal. it takes days,months,and years to complete it.
