I personally think this quote means that no one knows the key to success. All we really know is that if you are always busy trying to please others instead of yourself than you will fail because you'll have no time to do what you want. Which I believe is a waste of time because you're trying to impress someone who will most likely not even care for you. Then, in the end no one will get hurt except yourself.

this quote is very profound and its letting everyone know that there will be obstacles that you will have to face and theres always someone who will try to bring you down and get you discouraged. if you look at statistics for this generation most teenage students are dropping out of college because things are to hard and they think they cant handle it. someone is in the middle of that disruption meaning there is someone who will try to stop you from succeeding so they can get their time to shine .when things like this occur it has something to do with your enemy. most people try to please others but you should please yourself before trying to impress your opponent because while your pleasing them they are ignoring you and going about their own buisness getting what they need to get done. my mother always told me never let the negative influences bring you down i belive in this and everyone else should because failure is not an option.

I believe that the statement that was previously said is true because if you are always trying to please everyone you may know then of course that will end to failure. You should know that a lot of people like different things and you are going to have to keep changing yourself for their likings. That is the way to failure because life is always going to have people who like and dislike someone but when we don't pay attention to that stuff and keep it pushing then we will most certainly reach success in the end. Their is always someone that is not going to like anything about you and your going to have to deal with that fact that you can't please them by just being you but their is also going to be someone who likes you or is going to like the type of person GOD made you to be. What i think this quote means is that if someone tries to please other people, they are not being theirselves, and they are not doing what they want.

i think that what it says here is a true statement because if you work for your self you are going to be somebody in life. But if you try to do everything for everybody what is going to be left for you you at the end of the day are going to be left with all your work that you were supposed to do insteadof helping other people
Thats why you should look out for you and only you and then at the end of the day if you have time at the end of the day you can go ahead and help others only if you have time.

I agree because the only way you can find the key to sucess is by trying. The more you try, the better chances you have of suceeding because sucess takes alot of work. I think this quote means that if you try pleasing others you are not going to get anywhere and that will lead to failure...
for example if ur in college and u know you have a huge test and your friends say come lets go to the club and you say naw man it's thisz big test comin ^ and u then all ur friendsz say u a loszer and u say im not i could do it if i want to and then you end up goin and they get bacc real late and the test is the next day and u fail it F for the semester NOT GOOD!!!
I think that the key to falilure could be to please everyone else because then you are doing to much. You are trying to do everything for everyone one else and not for your self who you should be doing it for. You shoudl be doing your best to please your self and will do well
